When we first released the Ratchet Ring in 2022, we had planned to do it in titanium.

Not long into production, we learned about galling, which is a phenomenon that occurs due to the inherent frictional properties of titanium, leading to screeching noises and a coarse, gritty motion.

Before we switched to stainless steel, we machined 250 grade 2 titanium Ratchet Rings.

These rings were scrapped - because they just didn't spin or click well enough.

Even though countless people have since asked for a piece, they've laid resting in a dark corner, collecting dust.

It was a failure for us, and a tough start for the Ratchet Ring.

We wanted titanium out of sight, out of mind.

And we didn't want them in circulation, because they didn't embody the ruthless quality that we stand for.

But that takes us to today.

Because today, we see a different purpose for these rings. They're collectables. They're a piece of history. And they're a reminder to never give up.

Since this incident, we’ve sent out thousands of Ratchet Rings to happy enthusiasts in over 55 different nations. 

200 titanium Ratchet Rings, assembled without a spring, can now be added to a purchase of any Ratchet Ring V2 for free. 

They can be spun like a spinner ring, proudly admired, held, worn, displayed, analyzed, but they do not click.
